How it works

1

Sorted by how long it takes to walk there

Not by straight-line distance. The nearest dot on a map can be across a dual carriageway; the ranking uses walking time, so the first result is the one you can reach fastest.

2

Every listing says how you get in

Open to all, customers only, buy something first, ask staff for a key, punch in a door code, or pay. That is usually the thing you actually need to know.

3

Unknown is shown as unknown

If nobody has confirmed step-free access, it says so. It does not guess — and it does not quietly drop the place from an accessibility search either. A venue nobody has checked is not the same as one confirmed to have steps.

Why you can trust what it says

A toilet finder that overstates its confidence is worse than none at all — you plan around it and then find a locked door. So the honest answer is built in rather than bolted on.

One person's word is not treated as fact

A new listing starts at medium confidence, not high. It takes a second, independent person confirming the place exists before it counts as corroborated.

Points are earned, then confirmed

Adding a place earns points provisionally. They settle when somebody else corroborates it, and reverse if the listing is removed. Spamming entries earns nothing that lasts.

Most of the map is imported, and says so

Venues from open data are marked as likely to have a toilet, not confirmed to. They rank below places a real person has stood in and confirmed.

Where we have data

Counts are read live, not written down — so this page cannot drift from what the map actually has.

Know one we're missing?

The most valuable thing you can add is the bit nobody writes down: the door code, whether you have to buy a coffee first, which entrance actually works. Add a place in the app and it is on the map immediately — no queue, no waiting for approval.
